Size does matter!

Our home in Hyderabad was much bigger than the one we have moved into in Chennai. While the new one is nice in its own way, i wondered what arjun would feel about having a living come dining room as opposed to two different rooms for each of the areas. My fears were laid to rest when i overheard him telling his cousin,

" You know what, our new living room is so big that the dining table also fits in there!!"

The glass is obviously half full :)

The worrier!

Jun watches his dad getting ready to go to work and suddenly bursts into a wail

" How will i become a father and go to office and work? I dont know anything!!"

We convinced him it was perfectly okay to be almost six years old and still not know what to do in office.

The Storyteller

Jun : Amma, shall i tell you a story?
Me : Sure Jun
*Silence*
Me : What happened?
Jun : I am making it for you!!
Me : Oh wow, your own story? i can't wait!!

After two minutes

Jun : ok amma, i have maken the story but its very short.
Me : Thats ok

Jun : One day, a dinosaur was walking in the forest. Then it saw a squirrel in the hollow of a tree. It ran towards the tree to eat it up and just as it tried to bite the squirrel, the squirrel shut the window of the hollow and the dinosaur bit the window and broke all its teeth. Only two broken teeth were remaining so the dinosaur went away sadly and the squirrel was very happy.

Jun : U liked it Amma?

Me : Loved it Jun!!

Did you? :)

How rain happens

We said goodbye to Hyderabad and flew into the most glorious sunset ever... (very filmy but true!) Junjun was as awed as the rest of us till he suddenly said "Oh, now i understand"

Understand what jun?

How rain happens amma.

How?

The sun gives water to the clouds and the clouds spit them out and it rains.

'weatherman' is hereby officially struck out from the prospective professions list!

I do not recommend..

...discussing the chinese almanac in front of your kids. You will have them informing all unsuspecting visitors,

"Did you know that my mom is a DRAGON!!!!??? SCARY NO?"

And as if that was not bad enough, "And my dad is a RABBIT....FUNNY NO'??

Scary.
