Junjun is going to be 3yrs and 4 months old when the next academic year starts. Two months short of three and a half which would make him eligible to start LKG.
Do i put him in some other school where the rules arent so stringent or do i let him go to play school for another year?
Mom says let him enjoy another year...once he starts, there is just so much for him to handle. Maddy is worried it would be like losing a year. He would be around 6 months older than the common age.
If he goes to proper school next year, i could start working again and get back to a life i badly miss. But as smart as he is, if he is the youngest in class, school might just wear him out.
I've got to decide. Fast.

are you kidding me? I started school at Arjun's age and have spent all my life as the youngest in class. So here it is from my mouth (neigh!):
a. the head start he gets now will give him an extra year to play with, in his career.
b. while it might not help much with his romantic life in college, it will certainly come in handy when he has a mid life crisis and sees all his friends doing worse!
c. he will get to be single and still offer free advice in young moms' blogs....;)
Gotto start early. Known scientific fact that children learn better wen they are younger. Plus it is always fun to be the youngest.
Thank you both for responding!
k : your points are exactly what worry me!!!! :)
anonymous : people in the education field say its better he is more mature for the kind of syllabus taught today. Did u know they teach english, hindi AND a regional language from LKG itself??
Gosh...this is difficult...just when i had decided he cud do with another year of play school!
